Abstract The application of lightweight sandwich material as a ship structure was an innovative breakthrough that provided excellent strength-to-weight ratio. In the process, proposed structural design and scantling must be designed according to equivalent strength requirement with low weight compared existing structure. research aims evaluate dynamic response different construction systems barge ships due applying various hybrid types in deck, hull, bottom structures using current Lloyd’s Register standard. A total three systems: longitudinal, transverse mixed framing systems, are investigated under plate configurations, types, sizes. numerical-based finite element approach is used properties natural frequency mode shape free vibration analysis at numbers. result from characteristic reduction estimation between sizes evaluated determine panels
